The SV70174 is an AS568-174 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 8.737 in (221.92 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.943 in (227.15 mm). This quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Common environments for this compound include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and oil and gas.
