This o-ring is supplied in AS568-177 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 9.487 in (240.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.693 in (246.2 mm), catalogued under part number HSN90177. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. The material holds up against sour gas and amine inhibitors, modern refrigerants, and ozone and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.

Typical settings include engine timing systems, heavy-duty powertrain, and commercial refrigeration.
