The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists many acids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
