This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-210 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 0.734 in (18.64 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.012 in (25.7 mm), catalogued under part number SV70210. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

It resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
