Part number HS70221 is an AS568-221 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.421 in (36.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.699 in (43.15 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists heat and oxidation, ozone and weathering, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

It sees regular use in heavy-duty powertrain, commercial refrigeration, and engine timing systems.
