The HS70228 is an AS568-228 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, heat and oxidation, and ozone and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service.
