This o-ring is supplied in AS568-228 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm), catalogued under part number U70228. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to ozone, abrasion and wear, and extrusion under high pressure. Polyurethane (AU/EU) is widely chosen for very high tensile strength and load capacity, long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C) in continuous service. Applications involving acids and bases or ketones call for a different compound.
