Ordered as HS70229, this is an AS568-229 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.359 in (59.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.637 in (66.98 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, excellent abrasion and tear strength. The material holds up against ozone and weathering, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving strong oxidizing acids or chlorinated hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
