SV70230 is an AS568-230 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include oil and gas, automotive fuel systems, and semiconductor equipment.
