568-231 GREEN HNBR (HSN) 70 ORINGS

HS70231 is an AS568-231 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.609 in (66.27 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.887 in (73.33 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. The compound resists ozone and weathering, modern refrigerants, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include oilfield and downhole equipment, heavy-duty powertrain, and commercial refrigeration.
