The H50242 is an AS568-242 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for strong abrasion and tear resistance, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and hydraulic fluids. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Verify compatibility before use with automotive brake fluid or polar solvents.
