The SV70242 is an AS568-242 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
