Ordered as SV70247, this is an AS568-247 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.609 in (117.07 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.887 in (124.13 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
