Ordered as HSN90249, this is an AS568-249 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. The compound resists sour gas and amine inhibitors, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving esters or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.
