This o-ring is supplied in AS568-249 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm), catalogued under part number U70249. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Polyurethane (AU/EU) is valued for exceptional abrasion resistance and long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service. The compound resists abrasion and wear, extrusion under high pressure, and petroleum oils. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). It is not the right choice where acids and bases or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include mining and heavy equipment, press and forming equipment, and off-highway equipment.
