The SV70252 is an AS568-252 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.234 in (132.94 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.512 in (140 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, oil and gas, and aerospace.
