Ordered as SV70254, this is an AS568-254 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The compound resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
