568-257 GREEN HNBR (HSN) 70 ORINGS

APG stocks the HS70257, an AS568-257 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.859 in (148.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.137 in (155.88 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. Expect good resistance to modern refrigerants, petroleum oils and fuels, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones are present.
