-262 BLACK CHEMOURS VITON 75D O-RING

An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
