Ordered as HSN90272, this is an AS568-272 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 9.484 in (240.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.762 in (247.95 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. The material holds up against modern refrigerants, petroleum oils and fuels, and ozone and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). It should not be specified for service in chlorinated hydrocarbons or strong oxidizing acids.

Typical settings include heavy-duty powertrain, engine timing systems, and commercial refrigeration.
