This o-ring is supplied in AS568-273 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 9.734 in (247.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.012 in (254.3 mm), catalogued under part number VB90273. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or hot water and steam.
