It resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and brake fluid. EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for very good flexibility at low temperature, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.
