Ordered as SH70276, this is an AS568-276 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 10.984 in (278.99 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.262 in (286.05 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and water. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
