568-276 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70276, this is an AS568-276 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 10.984 in (278.99 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.262 in (286.05 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

It resists wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for strong resistance to permeation and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
