568-277 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

APG stocks the TES70277, an AS568-277 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 11.484 in (291.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.762 in (298.75 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing.
