HS70279 is an AS568-279 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 12.984 in (329.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.262 in (336.85 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. This material stands up to ozone and weathering, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters are present.

It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
