568-280 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

APG stocks the SV70280, an AS568-280 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 13.984 in (355.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.262 in (362.25 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving ketones and esters or amines call for a different compound.
