As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. This material stands up to ozone and weathering, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and heat and oxidation. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where ketones or esters are present.
