568-283 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70283, this is an AS568-283 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and strong resistance to permeation. The compound resists strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
