Part number SV70283 is an AS568-283 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
