Ordered as VB90284, this is an AS568-284 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 17.955 in (456.06 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.233 in (463.12 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
