568-284 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

APG stocks the TES70284, an AS568-284 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 17.955 in (456.06 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.233 in (463.12 mm). The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone delivers strong resistance to permeation and a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and chemical processing.
