Part number SH70316 is an AS568-316 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.85 in (21.59 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.27 in (32.26 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to water, hydraulic fluids, and many alcohols. Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids will shorten service life.
