568-316 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80316 is an AS568-316 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.85 in (21.59 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.27 in (32.26 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Expect good resistance to steam, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
