Part number SH70317 is an AS568-317 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.912 in (23.16 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.332 in (33.83 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Expect good resistance to petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
