568-318 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-318 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 0.975 in (24.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.395 in (35.43 mm), catalogued under part number SV70318. It uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and automotive fuel systems.
