-322 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70MD322, an AS568-322 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.225 in (31.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.645 in (41.78 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is known for very good compression set resistance across its range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include ovens and heated equipment, electronics and electrical enclosures, and medical devices.
