This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-324 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 1.35 in (34.29 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.77 in (44.96 mm), catalogued under part number SV70324. It seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
