Ordered as H50338, this is an AS568-338 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.1 in (78.74 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.52 in (89.41 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, many alcohols, and petroleum-based oils. Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or strong acids are present.
