Ordered as SV70346, this is an AS568-346 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.1 in (104.14 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.52 in (114.81 mm). The quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation.
