An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The material holds up against propane and butane, greases and lubricants, and petroleum-based oils. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
