568-359 URETHANE 90 ORINGS -PREM GRADE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-359 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.145 in (156.08 mm), catalogued under part number U90359. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for exceptional abrasion resistance, very high tensile strength and load capacity. The material holds up against extrusion under high pressure, abrasion and wear, and impact and shock loading. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). Applications involving ketones or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in mining and heavy equipment, off-highway equipment, and hydraulic cylinders.
