Ordered as SV70362, this is an AS568-362 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.645 in (168.78 mm). The quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, chemical processing, and automotive fuel systems.
