PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is known for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The material holds up against steam, strong acids and solvents, and wide temperature swings. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges are present.
