The SV70371 is an AS568-371 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.895 in (225.93 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.
