This o-ring is supplied in AS568-373 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.395 in (238.63 mm), catalogued under part number H50373. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists hydraulic fluids, water, and propane and butane. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
