A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
