EPDM (EPR) is valued for excellent hot water and steam resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. The material holds up against dilute acids and alkalis, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and ozone, UV and weathering. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.
