Ordered as TES70378, this is an AS568-378 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 10.475 in (266.07 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.895 in (276.73 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and strong resistance to permeation. It resists wide temperature swings, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
