Ordered as SH70379, this is an AS568-379 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.395 in (289.43 mm). The quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
